Job Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team at a secondary SEN school in Colchester. As a SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective learning of your students, providing pastoral care, and contributing to the wider success of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective learning plans to support students' academic and social progress.
  • Provide individualized support to students, addressing their unique learning needs and barriers.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum design and teaching methods.
  • Engage in regular evaluations and professional development to enhance your practice and stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN education.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A full driving license is also essential, as you will be required to undertake off-site activities.
