About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Misuse Support Worker to join our team at Change Grow Live. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance misuse within the community.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering targeted outreach programs to engage clients who may face barriers to treatment.
- Providing psychosocial interventions as part of our comprehensive Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service.
- Collaborating with a network of partner agencies to ensure a holistic and integrated service approach.
- Raising awareness about our services through community engagement and partnerships with local organizations.
- Proactively following up with clients who miss appointments to maximize their opportunities for engagement.
- Contributing to risk management processes to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
- Working closely with clients to support their social reintegration, empowering them to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. This includes promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
About You
We are looking for an individual who possesses:
- A strong understanding of the complexities of substance misuse and relevant experience working in a similar field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in IT.
- Proactive initiative, strong time management abilities, and the capacity to prioritize effectively.
- A supportive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
- The ability to adapt and manage change successfully while prioritizing the needs of our clients.
- Flexibility and willingness to work some evenings and weekends as required.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, both for yourself and others.
