SEN Support Specialist

About the Role...

Academics is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Specialist to join a vibrant and inclusive educational environment. This position involves working with a Key Stage 5 cohort of students with Special Educational Needs, encompassing a diverse range of disabilities and additional requirements, such as Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), and Speech and Communication challenges.

Your Responsibilities...

  • Support children with disabilities or Special Educational Needs as a Teaching Assistant or Support Worker
  • Engage effectively with students with SEND, fostering a positive learning atmosphere
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to maintain student focus and attention
  • Encourage independence, self-esteem, and positive social interactions among students
