Job Overview
Purpose
As a key member of the Product Control team, you will oversee the operational aspects of the Debt Capital Markets and Spread Investment Grade business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a vital liaison between the Front Office and Financial Control, leveraging specialized product expertise to ensure timely resolution of daily P&L discrepancies and achieving final P&L agreement with the Front Office.
- Generate daily desk P&L reports along with insightful commentaries.
- Validate P&L through daily risk-based analysis, employing Greeks and new trade evaluations.
- Reconcile P&L with trader estimates to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the integrity of the bank's financial records through thorough reconciliation and attestation processes.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of product flows and trade booking accounting practices, providing support for detailed investigations related to Front Office and Back Office reconciliation activities.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses as requested by the Front Office and senior management, including in-depth P&L reviews and Balance Sheet assessments.
- Report consolidated results to senior management, incorporating necessary valuation adjustments.
- Ensure that the Product Control team and relevant stakeholders are promptly informed of any revaluation issues that may impact subsequent activities.
- Produce ad-hoc reports as needed by the Front Office and senior management.
- Participate in significant change management initiatives aimed at enhancing daily operational processes.
- Uphold the independence of the Product Control function.
- Facilitate compliance with Regulatory and Audit standards within Capital Markets.
- Provide essential leadership and input in the design, testing, and implementation of major infrastructural changes.
- Maximize efficiency gains through technological advancements and business process improvements.
Required Skills
Proficiency in Accounting, Business Analytics, Financial Accounting Systems, General Ledger Administration, and Group Problem Solving.
