Job Description

**Job Title:** Project Director - Estates and Facilities

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join our Estates Team on a six-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key projects that support our strategic goals, particularly in upgrading and maintaining our campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee multiple estates projects, from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with our objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to streamline project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, relaying regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Carry out risk management and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management within the estates or construction sector, ideally within higher education.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations, health & safety standards, and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Relevant qualifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) and a degree in a related field is preferred.
