Ancala Water Services (Defence) Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Technician to join our team in the South-West region. As a key member of our front-line operation, you will be responsible for ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance of our mechanical and electrical assets is completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Complete planned and reactive electrical and mechanical tasks within timescales, quality, and cost parameters.
- Build and develop relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
- Work to improve the value, performance, and overall service of the M&E Team.
- Identify follow-on work after completing planned or reactive tasks.
- Work in a lean manner to minimize travel time and disruption to our customers.
- Conduct risk assessments and create method statements where required to safely carry out maintenance activities.
- 18th Edition / C&G Level 3 / Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience.
- A background within an industrial asset maintenance setting is crucial for this role.
- Ability to read panel drawings and fault find single or three-phase systems.
- Experience with inverters, motors, and star delta systems.
- Self-motivation with the desire to contribute positively and productively to the South-West M&E team.
- Strong communication skills to allow you to keep colleagues and customers informed of job progress.
- Willingness to take part in a regional on-call rota to provide out-of-hours response and support to customers.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision and traveling to sites in your area as required.
- Ability to work as a problem solver who can respond well to conflicting and changing priorities.
