About the Role

GWR is a leading railway company with a proud history of innovation and customer service. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Technician to join our team in Exeter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Safety Critical and non-Safety Critical tasks on the West Fleet units in accordance with Train Vehicle Maintenance Instructions.
  • Complete maintenance exams and heavy component changes.
  • Ensure rail vehicles are safe to be moved after work has been completed and perform 'Safety of Line' checks when required.
  • Investigate, identify, and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Team Leader and other colleagues to achieve service delivery goals.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or Apprentice trained in an Electrical/Mechanical discipline.
  • Previous experience in Rolling Stock maintenance.
  • Desirable to have completed NEBOSH/IOSH training and Business Improvement Training (BIT).
