About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Technician to join our team at Great Western Railway. As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our West Fleet units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out Safety Critical and non-Safety Critical tasks in accordance with your competence on the West Fleet.
  • Complete maintenance exams and heavy component changes.
  • Ensure rail vehicles are safe to be moved after work has been completed in accordance with local procedures.
  • Investigate, identify, and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Team to achieve service delivery targets.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or Apprentice trained in an Electrical/Mechanical discipline.
  • Previous experience in Rolling Stock maintenance.
  • Desirable to have completed NEBOSH/IOSH training.
