Job Summary

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating vehicles and equipment airside, transporting cargo and materials between aircraft and designated areas, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Forklifts and Other Equipment: Safely operate vehicles and equipment airside in accordance with airport regulations.
  • Transport Cargo and Materials: Transport cargo and other materials between aircraft and designated areas.
  • Conduct Routine Vehicle Checks: Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any issues.
  • Maintain Clear Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the team and supervisors.
  • Follow Safety Procedures: Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Forklift Certificate: Must have a valid Forklift certificate (counterbalanced).
  • Prior FLT Experience: Prior FLT experience required; candidates will be assessed by the client's FLT trainer.
  • Cargo Operative Certification: Must hold a Cargo Operative certification (old style level D) - we offer Cargo Operative courses for £67.20.
  • History Check: Ability to provide a 5-year history check (HMRC online record).
  • Shift Flexibility: Flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced airport environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role will involve working in a team environment, with regular communication with supervisors and colleagues.
