You will play a pivotal role in transforming lives by securing major gifts that directly fund essential services and life-changing aviation missions in some of the most remote parts of the world.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team to build strong relationships with key donors and secure major funding to support our mission.
- Develop and execute a major gifts strategy, set clear targets and manage an annual budget to ensure growth in income.
- Manage a portfolio of high-level donors, including institutional funders, to secure substantial gifts.
- Work collaboratively with the CEO, Trustees and other stakeholders to cultivate new opportunities.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience of fundraising from generous individuals and trusts.
- Experience building effective long-term relationships and influencing with Major Donors.
- Experience leading a successful team and working at a strategic level.
- Knowledge of philanthropy in the UK and trends in the sector.
- Knowledge of budget preparation and control.
- An understanding of the provisions of GDPR legislation and the implications for fundraising.
- To be educated to degree level.
We offer a competitive salary of £53,000 per annum, annual leave entitlement of 22 days per year plus 8 paid public holidays per year, and a non-contributory pension scheme.
