Key Responsibilities

The Personal Tax Consultant will be tasked with:

  • Preparing personal tax returns for a diverse clientele.
  • Overseeing the progress of tax returns to ensure timely completion and submission.
  • Informing clients of their tax liabilities promptly.
  • Engaging directly with clients to guarantee accurate and efficient tax return processing.
  • Addressing technical inquiries, including:
    • Income Tax Loss Utilization and Caps, EIS & SEIS relief claims.
    • Basic Capital Gains Tax strategies, including the use of annual exemptions and principal private residence exemptions.
    • Fundamental understanding of CGT calculations for various asset types and transfers.
    • Identifying tax planning opportunities and collaborating with partners.
    • Managing routine HMRC inquiries from start to finish.

Candidate Profile

The ideal Personal Tax Consultant will possess:

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA or ATT qualification with a minimum of 5 years of tax experience.
  • Proven experience in managing a client portfolio.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a high-performing team.
  • Strong organizational skills and a meticulous approach to tax matters.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of £50,000 - £70,000, commensurate with experience.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays.
  • 5% pension contribution.
