Job Title: Litigation and Claims Lawyer

At Jet2, we're seeking a highly skilled Litigation and Claims Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our litigation team, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing and addressing injury and illness claims related to Jet2holidays and Jet2.com aviation claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read, assess, and make decisions on pre-litigation and post-lit claims across various business areas.
  • Review and authorise Defences, Schedules of Loss, Instructions to experts, and other relevant documents.
  • Investigate costs incurred by the business to identify potential contributions from external parties.
  • Work closely with brokers, insurers, and loss adjusters to manage claims effectively.
  • Deliver training on relevant issues and claims-handling processes within the Legal Department and across the business.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Lawyer with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in litigation and claims.
  • Working knowledge of Package Travel Regulations and Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Experience in travel law and personal injury is highly desirable.
