Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Lovell. As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects, working closely with the Site Manager to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Assist the Site Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling construction projects to ensure timely completion, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Site Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel, and maintaining a high level of quality control.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and direction to site staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring open and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and implement measures to minimize the risk of accidents and environmental damage.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and control the quality of work on site, identifying and addressing any defects or issues promptly.
  • Cost Control: Assist in the management of project costs, ensuring that expenses are within budget and that value for money is achieved.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualification in construction management or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations, building legislation, and industry best practices.
