Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Practitioner to join our Foundation Learning team at Weston College. As a Specialist Practitioner, you will play a key role in the marketing and promotion of our Specialist Provision, establishing and developing strong relationships with employers, and ensuring progress is robustly monitored.

Key Responsibilities
  • Play an active role in the marketing and promotion of the Specialist Provision within Foundation Learning, with particular emphasis on liaison with external partners, employers, and other key agencies.
  • Establish and develop strong relationships with employers, and have a clear commitment to ensuring progress is robustly monitored.
  • Develop new placement opportunities and ensure that communication with employers is timely, effective, and contributes to high employer satisfaction.
  • Carry out a wide range of initial, formative, and summative assessments to establish support needs and starting points, which are clearly mapped and track progress through vocational profiling.
Requirements
  • Relevant successful SEND experience.
  • Evidence of previous success in gaining employment outcomes with learners with SEND.
  • Knowledge and understanding of learning difficulties and disabilities and how these may affect the way students learn.
  • Skills in the development and implementation of individual learning programmes.
