Procurement Policy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Policy Manager to join our team at NHS Shared Business Services. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping our procurement strategy and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of new procurement regulations and policies, ensuring seamless integration with our existing frameworks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in public sector procurement, including laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Develop and present strategic action plans to address compliance gaps and improve procurement processes.
- Design and deliver training programs to ensure colleagues have a deep understanding of procurement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement a rolling program of legal training, ensuring colleagues remain current on legislation and emerging case law.
- Develop and deliver training initiatives focused on tendering practices within the NHS environment, with a specific emphasis on Cabinet Office spend controls.
- Proven experience in public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent knowledge of UK public sector procurement legislation, including PCR2015 and the New Procurement Act.
- Experience in delivering training and presenting to large audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure, handling conflicting priorities and delivering a flexible and adaptable service.
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification.
- Project Management qualifications or experience.
- Established networks across the public sector, including policy teams in government and DHSC.
