Position Overview

The Risk and Governance Manager plays a crucial role in establishing and maintaining the compliance reporting and monitoring framework within the Finance sector, with a particular emphasis on Billing, Credit Risk, and Collections. This position is pivotal in ensuring adherence to new regulations and reporting requirements that affect our clientele.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes for embedding compliance across Billing, Credit Risk, and Collections, ensuring ongoing regulatory adherence.
  • Identify compliance gaps, create actionable plans, and oversee their execution while monitoring customer outcomes and reporting on high-risk areas.
  • Lead compliance initiatives across Billing, Credit Risk, and Collections, facilitating necessary escalations within Vodafone UK's risk and governance structures.
  • Manage customer and operational risks, including the organization of relevant forums and committees, and prepare presentations and reports for discussions.
  • Represent Governance Risk and Control in significant regulatory programs.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to ensure compliance with risk and regulatory commitments.
  • Act as a liaison for Compliance and Business Risk functions.
  • Facilitate the Finance risk council, ensuring timely updates and organized governance actions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Expertise in Risk Management and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in a regulatory environment, such as Consumer Duty, FCA, and Ofcom.
  • A proven ability to work within a matrix structure, engaging effectively with teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to drive change and engagement across the organization.
  • Project Management proficiency.
