Job Summary
GKN Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and providing comprehensive data on all areas of site spend and procurement activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data-driven Category Sourcing Strategies to inform procurement decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Design and develop reports and dashboards to present information on spend analysis, geographic risk, and contract health.
- Assist with supplier engagement activities and gather market information to inform procurement decisions.
- Maintain databases and spreadsheets, manipulating large amounts of data to produce reports as requested.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, or Physics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in MS Excel, databases, and MS Office Suite products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to plan work and meet deadlines, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
