Role Highlights

We are in search of an HR Advisor to collaborate with our HR Business Partners, delivering proactive support in employee relations cases. You will partner with management to address various issues within the organization, identifying trends and sharing insights on individual cases to foster best practices.

Continuous improvement is at the heart of our operations. We encourage your input on processes and procedures to enhance our stakeholder support delivery. You will take the initiative to engage with management on identified employee issues and provide recommendations to the broader HR team. Additionally, you will liaise with essential functions such as legal and trade union representatives regarding employee matters.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering proactive and professional HR advice and guidance.
  • Establishing effective working relationships with stakeholders, including Trade Union representatives, to provide timely HR advice on various practices.
  • Assisting managers in understanding and implementing HR policies related to your case portfolio, both verbally and in writing.
  • Supporting managers during informal and formal case meetings, providing necessary information and HR advice from initiation to resolution.
  • Collaborating with managers to compile documentation for hearings and guiding them to appropriate templates and policies.
  • Attending formal case meetings, taking notes, and preparing relevant documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate records and suggesting improvements, proactively presenting options for management to consider.
  • Utilizing technology to track case progress and maintain accessible records.
  • Discussing high-risk case elements with the HR Business Partner Team and/or Employee Relations team to provide early insights and options.
  • Briefing the HR team on case statuses and approaches.
  • Contributing valuable feedback from case work to enhance workshops, training, and coaching initiatives.
  • Advocating for diversity and inclusion as core elements of our culture.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a CIPD level 3 qualification or be working towards it, or have relevant experience in HR or employee relations. A solid understanding of employment law is essential. If you are seeking a new challenge early in your HR career, we are open to supporting your training and development.

You should be adept at interpreting data, utilizing dashboards to identify trends, and ensuring data accuracy within HR systems. Experience collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and trade union representatives, is important. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities are crucial for success in this role.
