Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Dispensary Manager to join our Pharmacy Team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of planned organisational changes in our Dispensary at the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the Dispensary Managers to support and facilitate the implementation of planned organisational changes
  • Training and managing dispensary activities such as repeat dispensing and the over labelling of medicines
  • Providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and patients
  • Developing and implementing effective systems and processes to improve dispensary efficiency and patient care

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum three years leadership/management experience
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Teaching and presentation skills
  • Influencing and leadership skills
  • High level of IT skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
