Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist consultants during surgical procedures, providing expert anaesthetic care and support.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring accurate labelling and dispatch of specimens to the laboratory.
  • Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of the Anaesthetic Team Leader, ensuring patient safety and staff well-being.
  • Participate in multi-professional development, audits, and quality initiatives to drive excellence in patient care.
  • Support the development and training of department staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Contribute to risk assessment, management, and incident reporting, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
Requirements
  • Relevant ODP / Anaesthetic Nurse qualification.
  • Post-registration experience within Anaesthetics.
