We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled UX Design Leader to join our Amazon Payments team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design of innovative payment experiences that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of payment experiences across the entire customer journey, driving innovation and excellence in features that our customers love.
  • Develop and communicate the vision for user experience design for multiple products across platforms, and ensure its successful implementation.
  • Lead a team of designers to create useful, usable, and desirable products in a team environment, guiding them to understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback.
  • Coach designers to use business requirements to assist in developing use cases and high-level requirements, and support the design team with planning, prioritizing, and overseeing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders from Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering to deliver superior experiences that exceed customer expectations.

About the Team

We are the Amazon Payments team, serving customers worldwide to deliver outstanding products and programs. Our payment experience spans the breadth of multiple large-scale products, and we're an expanding, innovative team of visionaries and craftspeople who love to work hard and make history.

Requirements

  • Experience leading design teams and managing teams.
  • Experience with a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, Axure, and Dreamweaver.
  • Experience working cross-team and synthesizing feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing.
  • Experience leading design teams in problem definition, artifact rendering, cross-functional collaboration and delivery, and user validation and measurement.
  • Experience shipping innovative, successful consumer products.
  • Knowledge of user experience principles and techniques, and demonstrated ability managing ambiguity and leading complex projects from concept to delivery and ongoing improvement.
  • Experience with agile/scrum, and knowledge of best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process.
  • Experience leading design in the financial services industry and/or for regulated products.
