Cardiac Catheterization Nurse Specialist

Position Overview
An exceptional opportunity has arisen to become a part of the Cardiac Catheterization team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. We are looking for dedicated and skilled nurses who are eager to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Cath Lab Manager and Senior Nursing Staff to ensure the seamless operation of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac interventions.
- Performing scrub, circulatory, and recovery duties during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Providing mentorship and support to junior nurses and nursing students.
- Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care from admission through to discharge.
- Engaging in audits and research initiatives to enhance departmental practices.
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
- A minimum of one year of post-registration experience in cardiology.
Desirable:
- Experience in a Cath Lab setting.
- Progress towards a degree or completion of a mentorship course.
