Lead Programme Manager for Vaccine Initiatives

Position Summary

The Lead Programme Manager will report directly to the Head of the UK Vaccine Innovation Pathway and will be an integral member of the Vaccine Innovation Pathway Programme Management Office team. This role involves close collaboration with the Head of the UK VIP and Clinical Leads to create and execute innovative processes designed to enhance and expedite the establishment and execution of new vaccine trials within the UK clinical research framework.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of the VIP and Clinical Leads in guiding the design and execution of the programme's strategic vision.
  • Maintain a detailed programme roadmap and deliver progress updates to the VIP programme management board.
  • Oversee the organization and management of UK Clinical Trials of Vaccines Delivery Group meetings.
  • Identify necessary project activities and resources, documented in the VIP programme roadmap.
  • Coordinate programme initiatives and ensure the effective delivery of proposed modifications.
  • Establish and uphold strong governance frameworks.
  • Engage with stakeholders at various levels to foster collaboration.
  • Work alongside colleagues to harmonize activities across the Vaccine Innovation Pathway programme.
  • Develop initiatives to implement key components of the Vaccine Innovation strategy.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will possess a comprehensive understanding of the UK's health research environment and demonstrate proficient project management capabilities. Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship management skills with diverse stakeholders are essential. The ability to thrive under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities is crucial.
