Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Safety & Environment Tours as outlined in the Project Health & Safety Plan
  • Demonstrating commitment to Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
  • Ensuring staff are informed about the Environmental Policy and relevant updates
  • Communicating the Environmental Policy effectively to the workforce, especially those involved in high-impact activities
  • Implementing quality management systems and processes
  • Monitoring the competency of supervisory staff and providing necessary training
  • Overseeing Handover Documentation and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) to enhance quality management on-site
  • Analyzing project programs and suggesting performance improvements
  • Assisting engineering teams in planning and tracking program requirements
  • Participating in subcontractor procurement and advising on commercial matters

Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) is tasked with the design and construction of a significant segment of the HS2 project, which is a groundbreaking infrastructure venture in Europe.


We are constructing the West Midlands section of HS2's Phase One route, covering approximately 90 kilometers from Long Itchington to Birmingham and extending to Handsacre.
