Project Controller Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Controller to join our team at Purely Recruitment Solutions. As a Project Controller, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining excellent internal and external communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in managing customer projects, driving excellent internal and external communication, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Manage site delivery dates, coordinate vested products procedures, and assist with customer contact to provide up to date information.
  • Check site readiness for installation, plan PCM visits, and secure written and photographic evidence from the customer.
  • Create RAMS packs, obtain competent sign off, and send to customers in a timely manner, maintaining records.
  • Ensure correct training, certification, and supervision of teams/supervisors, and prepare site packs with all necessary documentation.
  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring all functions and customers are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Have a clear understanding of project costing to maximize profit, lead the process for customer complaints, and record, analyze, and report.
  • Liaise with customers post-sale, ensuring service, maintenance, and aftercare are delivered as needed, and communicate with the H&S Manager and Consultant in planning and documentation of audits and improvement actions.
  • Maintain accurate project and installation plans in real-time, manage small orders from receipt to dispatch, and monitor project spend against budget.
  • Negotiate and agree site delay compensation with internal and external stakeholders, prepare installation sub-contractor questionnaires, and proactively communicate on all aspects from handover to project completion.
  • Review, propose, and gain approval of subcontractor appointments, document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings, and support the development of a Project Strategy in line with Company objectives and growth aspirations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects, confident, focused, and driven to succeed, inspiring others.
  • Able to complete projects in a timely manner, under pressure, with construction site-based experience and knowledge, and ability to make decisions in challenging circumstances.
  • Knowledge of relevant and current H&S legislation, excellent administrative software skills (specifically Excel), organized, detail-oriented, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, professional maturity, and resilience, with the ability to work and operate nationwide.
