About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Watts Farm, a third-generation family-run business. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a pivotal role in producing accurate financial reports and providing financial insights to support decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production and reporting of reliable and accurate financial and management information.
  • Full monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including all ledgers, intercompany, VAT, and PAYE.
  • Preparation of key weekly and monthly reports for the management team.
  • Detailed analysis of customer/product and product group information, including developing insight into the cost base of the operating business.
  • Ad hoc projects, including some systems work.
  • Working with associated group companies.
  • Conducting costing work, preparing budgets, and managing cash flows.
  • Assisting the management team with financial projects.
Requirements
  • Qualified or qualified by relevant experience.
  • Commercial acumen, with experience working closely with operational teams in a FMCG business.
  • Ability to work to deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP knowledge.
  • Sage 200 experience is advantageous.
  • Designing and/or implementing systems and controls.
