Our client, a sophisticated global financial institution, is seeking to recruit a seasoned Credit / Credit Risk expert, ideally with a minimum of 4-5 years of pertinent experience for their senior Credit Analyst role.
Key ResponsibilitiesBased in a central office, this position offers a competitive base salary up to £70,000, with some flexibility depending on experience. The role includes the benefit of two days of remote work, a discretionary bonus, and comprehensive benefits such as private health insurance.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating the associated risks and financial stability of the firm's borrowers and counterparties through both quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Reviewing lending transactions, formulating an independent assessment of cash flow forecasts, and establishing risk tolerance and credit ratings.
- Monitoring the credit portfolio to identify emerging trends and potential risks.
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS9 standards as part of the credit evaluation process.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Banking, Trade Finance, or relevant global Financial Services within a Credit team.
- Expertise and practical experience in MENA / GCC Markets, Corporate credit (Commodity / Real Estate Finance), climate risk evaluation, and credit risk assessment.
- A comprehensive understanding of risk management principles and the IFRS9 Framework.
- Strong quantitative analysis capabilities in financial modeling, credit approvals, and trade finance proposals.
