Job Title: Credit Analyst

Cer Financial is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join their team in the City of London. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the development of individual portfolio transactions, performing market and sector research, and analyzing key risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze portfolio transactions, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct market and sector research to inform management and clients of material developments.
  • Prepare robust and concise internal credit papers, including cash flow models and sensitivity analysis.
  • Review and update cash flow models to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Analyze and evaluate drawdown requests, providing recommendations to management.
  • Ensure timely covenant tracking and recording in relevant systems.
  • Prepare Excel sensitivity analysis for transactions, as required.
  • Discuss and negotiate credit and collateral documentation with borrowers and advisors, as needed.
  • Maintain electronic credit files, ensuring key documents are saved and submitted for approval.
  • Contribute to regular and ad-hoc reporting requests from management, clients, and auditors.
  • Support the diligence and onboarding of new portfolios, as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as banking or finance.
  • Advanced Excel and modeling skills, with experience in credit and risk analysis.
  • Proven track record in a related credit or risk environment, with experience in infrastructure and energy project finance.
  • Good understanding of project and corporate finance, with knowledge of credit risk drivers and risks inherent in borrower industry sectors.
  • Solid analytical and technical skills, with ability to understand complex loan documentation and financing structures.
