Join Our Board: A Unique Opportunity for Strategic Governance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) and ensuring the effective governance of our organisation.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and governance experience, with a deep understanding of the global trade context. You will be able to provide strategic guidance and challenge to our Board, ensuring that our decisions are informed by evidence-based judgements and a commitment to public service values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent support and guidance to the Board, challenging assumptions and supporting planning to meet geopolitical challenges.
  • Exercise your role through influence, scrutiny, challenge, and advice on the implications of policy, delivery, and transformation proposals.
  • Undertake deep dives into risks and material delivery challenges, regularly reviewing and challenging key documents and performance data.
  • Ensure that decisions made by the Board follow proper procedures and are supported by sufficient high-quality information.
Requirements
