International Tax Manager

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled International Tax Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our Finance team, you will partner with cross-functional teams and third-party tax advisors to drive our tax-related workstreams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance and advisory, with experience working with multinational companies in the media and entertainment industry. You will be responsible for managing compliance work, driving tax-related workstreams, and providing guidance on tax implications and risks/opportunities of key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the International Tax Director and wider Candle US Tax Team with ensuring compliance requirements and obligations are met for Corporate Taxes and VAT/GST filing and remittance obligations across all jurisdictions.
- Maintaining schedules of tax filing obligations, taxes due, tax payments made, and tax refunds due.
- Supporting the preparation of Tax Provisions for local country GAAP Accounting Purposes.
- Supporting the Candle US Team and broader finance team with implementation of transfer pricing policies.
- Providing tax advisory support, including M&A transactions, corporate restructuring projects, tax technical research, and documenting the Company's tax positions and processes.
- Supporting the Studios team in claiming Production Tax Credits and analysing withholding tax implications on cross-border payments.
- Working with advisors across compliance and advisory projects and identifying opportunities to automate processes and reduce reliance on external advisors.
- Technically proficient, dynamic, and motivated tax specialist.
- ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualified (or near qualified).
- Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills with a proactive approach.
- Ability to research and understand areas of tax outside of current experience.
- Team player, that works well with others and is keen to take ownership of projects.
- Experience with multinational companies in the media and entertainment industry.
