We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our team in the Haematology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and interpreting routine and specialist biomedical investigations, providing patients with accurate results within agreed quality standards and turnaround times.
Main Responsibilities:- Perform and interpret routine and specialist biomedical investigations autonomously, ensuring high-quality results and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Provide professional leadership and training to junior staff, including Basic Grade Biomedical Scientists, Trainee Biomedical Scientists, and Medical Laboratory Assistants.
- Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with regulatory directives, accreditation bodies, and local management.
- Utilize laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and quality monitoring systems to maintain accurate records and ensure efficient workflow.
- Participate in risk assessment monitoring, safety training, and mandatory updates to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:- HCPC State Registration as a Biomedical Scientist, with evidence of Continued Professional Development.
