Airport Operations Manager, Fuel Farm Facility

Menzies Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fuel Facility Manager to oversee the operations of our fuel facility at Kansas City International Airport. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of fuel products to our airline customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations of the fuel facility, including tank farm, truck loading, and hydrant system operations.
- Work closely with engineering personnel to ensure the operational integrity of the facility and implement projects to improve efficiency and safety.
- Interface with county and airline personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Oversee all contractors and construction projects, including preparing and issuing work orders and contracts.
- Directly involved in budget compliance and preparation, as well as procurement of maintenance and operation preventative maintenance.
- Direct the preparation of work schedules to optimize human resources and facilities utilization.
- Oversee all administrative personnel, including hiring, terminations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist in the development of training materials and procedural manuals, and conduct training and orientation as necessary.
- Responsible for incident/accident investigations and perform all duties of the Drug & Alcohol Administrator.
- Assist the General Manager and support personnel as required.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or two to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior Aircraft Fueling experience required.
- Prior management, supervisory, or lead experience in the Aviation industry preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possess and maintain a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.
- Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
- Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly work in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, high voltages, and high hydraulic/pneumatic pressures. The employee is also frequently exposed to very loud noise levels, fumes or airborne particles, and hazardous substances, materials, or waste. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear.
Opening and closing valves involves twisting and pulling motion and sometimes considerable physical exertion.
Other tasks include digging and shoveling, such as snow removal around equipment and office. The employee may also engage in debris removal, which involves lifting, bending, and stooping. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70lbs.
