Compensation: £12.58 per hour.

Role Overview: We are currently seeking an Assistant Culinary Specialist to join our Hospitality team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality dining experiences without the challenges of split shifts and extended hours. We are in search of enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate culinary professionals who prioritize quality and excellence in service, ensuring a person-centered approach to hospitality for our residents. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest standards throughout all stages of food preparation to ensure the well-being of residents.
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with the established menu and company standards.
- Adhere to the Food Safety & Hygiene Regulations applicable in England and Northern Ireland.
- Ensure the quality of meals in terms of both presentation and flavor.
- Implement portion control measures to minimize waste.
- Accommodate individual dietary needs (e.g., high-calorie, low-sugar) by following appropriate guidelines and recipes or modifying dishes as necessary.
- Maintain necessary systems and checks to provide a safe, healthy, and efficient working environment.
- Ensure proper storage of food and other items.
- Monitor inventory, maintain effective stock rotation, and place orders as needed.
- Act as a deputy for the Head Chef when required.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in a culinary setting.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualifications.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Understanding of special dietary and nutritional needs and methods to meet them.
- Genuine interest in working in a caring environment.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Successful completion of a police check and verification against the ISA list (if applicable).
- Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
