Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Microbiology and Infection Control Consultant to join our team at National Locums. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on microbiology and infection control matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clinicians, hospital staff, and community healthcare professionals to ensure effective diagnosis and management of patients and prevention of infection.
  • Conduct daily ward rounds to review referred and follow-up cases, and provide medical microbiology and infection control assistance or intervention as needed.
  • Participate in daily rounds with ITU medical staff to review adult ITU patients.

Requirements:

  • 10 PA's, Monday to Friday, on-site
  • 1 in 6 Saturday morning cover
  • 1 in 3 out-of-hours on-call – 2nd Consultant
