Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team in Sandwell. As a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and provide support to help them manage their behaviour and improve their academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs in managing their behaviour and improving their academic outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to support the SEMH needs of students.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement behaviour management plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counselling, social work or related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in dealing with young people who have SEMH needs is essential.
  • Qualification in Team Teach is desirable.
