About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting and inspiring young minds in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and assist teachers in the classroom, providing individualized attention to students as needed
  • Develop and maintain high-quality records and reports to track student progress and achievement
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and efficient learning experience
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement engaging and effective lesson plans
Requirements
  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with children and/or young people in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for working with and supporting children and/or young people
Working Conditions
  • 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)
  • Salary: West Sussex NJC SCP 5 - 12
  • Outer fringe allowance and potential for career progression
