Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Halifax

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client's production site in Halifax. As a key member of the Maintenance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous running of the production process.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Eliminate downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance of equipment
  • Work on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems
  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on-site
Requirements:
  • Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position, ideally with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Practical hands-on approach
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
  • Ability to interrogate and understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations
  • Basic electrical knowledge with PLCs would be a bonus
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage
Working Hours:

42 hours per week, with a Dupont shift pattern covering both days and nights, with 7 consecutive days off and only 2 weekends out of 4.

Salary:

Up to £50,500 PA
