About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Investment Manager to join our team. As an Investment Manager, you will be responsible for building and developing trusted relationships with current and potential clients. You will provide personalized investment advice and portfolio management, ensuring that investment portfolios are managed in line with our investment philosophies and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and goals.
  • Provide expert investment advice and portfolio management, ensuring alignment with our investment philosophies and processes.
  • Construct and maintain suitable portfolios, considering clients' requirements, circumstances, tax situation, and attitude to risk.
  • Review portfolios regularly, making changes as necessary, and consulting with colleagues when appropriate.
  • Place deals accurately and in a timely fashion, working in partnership with Financial Planning and Professional Services colleagues.
  • Ensure comprehensive client records are accurate and up-to-date, adhering to Group policy.
  • Strive for no complaints, addressing any issues promptly and assisting in resolving them.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge and skills through regular CPD, ensuring alignment with industry, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Contribute to the firm's wider Investment Process needs, working as part of a team to support direct equity or collective sector analysis.
  • Provide sector-specific recommendations, based on a wide range of resources, and actively participate in regular meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Understanding of the financial services industry and investment market.
  • Experience in managing client investment portfolios and providing investment advice.
  • Ability to work well in a pressurized environment, prioritizing work and communicating effectively.
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills, with experience in leading pitches and winning new business.
  • Experience operating within a risk management framework, with a thorough understanding of risks and threats pertaining to a private client business.
