Your new company, a leading professional services firm in Belfast city centre, is seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join their Investment Management Audit & Assurance practice.

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee key client engagements, helping to resolve accounting, auditing, and other issues that arise during the audit process. You will be responsible for:

  1. Driving the delivery of services in a timely and effective way, exceeding client quality expectations.
  2. Developing a personal growth plan/strategy around a portfolio of key clients/new business, and networking with contacts.
  3. Scheduling audits, identifying staff, and assigning workloads.
  4. Identifying and leading integration of overseas resources to drive efficient execution.
  5. Consulting and advising clients on technical accounting, auditing, and internal control matters.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience leading audits in the Investment Management/Insurance industry
  • An experienced level of proficiency working with IFRS, UK, US GAAP or equivalent reporting standards
  • The ability to present client data in a clear and concise format
  • Ability to develop effective client relationships, in particular establishing rapport, trust, and confidence with stakeholders
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, and able to manage and motivate teams with team members at all levels
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Experience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements
