About the Role

Cox London is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Estimator to join their team. As a key member of the company, you will be responsible for researching and selecting the best practices, materials, and suppliers for manufacturing company designs.

Your mission will be to ensure maximum profitability for the company while maintaining outstanding quality for the customer. You will work closely with stakeholders, including sales, production management, and suppliers, to maintain and develop good working relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with sales to understand custom or bespoke project scopes and provide advice.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to obtain quotations and source new suppliers.
  • Consult with technical experts to gather costs and processes for manufacturing.
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, including production time, raw materials, equipment, and labor expenses.
  • Use internal ERP systems to calculate estimates and read off-plan and CAD technical documents.
  • Collaborate with production management, technicians, designers, and sales teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure all relevant information is passed on to production and recommend ways to improve product profitability.
  • Assist in finding information for company reports and review Cox London's catalogue collection annually.
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and costs.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and numerical abilities.
  • Understanding of design, form, color, and function, as well as regulations, price trends, and exchange rates.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexible and positive attitude, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Desirable Qualifications
  • BA(Hons) Product Design, Architecture, or Engineering.
  • BSs Business Management.
