Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join our team at eNL Legal Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting experienced Solicitors with clients, preparing applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies, responding to telephone enquiries from clients, and supporting the daily financial administration and preparing annual deputyship reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced Solicitors with clients, preparing applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies
  • Respond to telephone enquiries from clients and support the daily financial administration
  • Prepare annual deputyship reports
  • Have a strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Capacity Code of Practice, and Court of Protection Rules
  • Provide an excellent service to clients with a sympathetic approach

Requirements:

  • Experience of dealing with Financial Affairs Deputyships, Court of Protection for Property and Finance sector
  • Strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Capacity Code of Practice, and Court of Protection Rules
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
