Job Opportunity

Labman Automation Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Support Technician to join our team at our HQ in North Yorkshire, UK. As a key member of our Support Team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our robotic laboratory product, MultiDose, at customer sites worldwide.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electromechanical knowledge and experience with hand-tools. You will be required to configure the MultiDose to use customer's consumables, install the product at customer sites, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance when required.

As a Support Technician, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing remote support and conducting customer training in operating MultiDose, routine maintenance, and fault diagnosis. You will also be responsible for documenting and feeding back customer information to improve future design and customer experience.

We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and professional, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be required to travel worldwide, sometimes at short notice, and work independently, taking initiative and prioritizing work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure the MultiDose to use customer's consumables
  • Install the MultiDose at customer sites worldwide
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of MultiDose when required
  • Provide remote support to MultiDose customers
  • Conduct customer training in operating MultiDose, routine maintenance, and fault diagnosis
  • Document and feedback customer information to improve future design and customer experience
Requirements
  • Electromechanical knowledge
  • Experience with hand-tools
  • Customer facing role, presentable at all times
  • Ability to identify issues, diagnose faults, and provide solutions
  • Willingness to regularly travel worldwide, sometimes at short notice
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize work
  • Customer oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Driving license and Passport
