This is a unique opportunity to secure funding aimed at fostering new partnerships among diverse research groups within the Medical Research Council (MRC) framework.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be employed by a research organization eligible for MRC funding.
- Proposals should focus on establishing innovative partnerships that enhance high-quality scientific programs already supported by MRC or other funding bodies.
- Projects should be directed by the applicant, who must be actively engaged in the research or contribute to the academic leadership of the partnership.
- Research areas of interest include:
- Infections and Immunity
- Molecular and Cellular Medicine
- Neurosciences and Mental Health
- Population and Systems Medicine
- Completion of the pre-application stage is required before advancing to the full application stage.
Funding Duration: Grants are available for a period ranging from one to five years.
Important Notes:
- Only those who have successfully completed the pre-application stage and received an invitation may apply for this funding opportunity.
- For applicants without a contract for the entire duration of the proposed project, the research organization must confirm that contracts will be extended and necessary support will be provided.
Partnership grants are not available for traditional research projects. Individuals based at MRC institutes cannot apply as project leads but may participate in other roles.
International CollaborationInternational researchers can be included as project co-leads if they contribute significantly to the project's design or execution.
