My Bump My Baby is seeking a skilled Medical Diagnostic Sonographer to deliver high-quality ultrasound services to our patients.

About the Role:

We are looking for a registered Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound scans using a portable device within the patient's home or event space. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of anatomy and pathology, as well as excellent patient interaction and technological performance skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed within the patient's home.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment in appropriate operating condition, reporting any issues immediately.
  • Maintain accurate department records, reports, and files as directed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information (HIPAA/Compliance).
  • Work as a team member and communicate effectively with not only MBMB staff but also other healthcare professionals we work with.
  • Record and code all applicable examination results and complete all relevant medical documentation.
  • Respond appropriately to patients' questions related to testing.
  • Maintain quality and infection control standards.
  • Able to troubleshoot technical difficulties with ultrasound equipment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage interactions with difficult people.
  • Good analytical skills necessary for handling ultrasound patients during administration of diagnostic testing.
  • Good interpersonal manner important during delivery of patient care to ensure harmonious provision of ultrasound examinations and testing.
  • Manual dexterity for use of sonographic equipment and instruments. Light lifting of clinical supplies will be required.
  • Adequate physical strength required for positioning of patient and equipment during examinations in the home.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work as a team member.
  • Must have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, doctors, family members, and coworkers.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must have knowledge of ultrasound equipment, including but not limited to: ultrasound machine, EKG, transducer, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of medical terminology and be able to read and interpret ultrasound images.
  • Willingness to learn new procedures and protocols as needed.

Experience:

  • Maternal fetal medicine: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • HCPC (required)

Work Location: On the road

Pay: £35.00 per hour
