Job Overview
The Shore Group is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join one of their clients on a Data Centre project in North Acton. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for supervising and planning pipework installation works with direct labour workforce and/or sub-contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and plan pipework installation works, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Take off and arrange materials for the works, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
- Attend Design and Build (DAB) meetings with the principal contractor to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure a safe working environment and identify potential hazards.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safe starts to ensure all personnel are aware of their responsibilities and the importance of safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising and planning pipework installation works, including pre-fab pipework/spools and large diameter pipework installation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with direct labour workforce and/or sub-contractors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including health and safety protocols.
