We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Specialist to join our team as a Family Court Adviser. As a key member of our Public and Private Law team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance to the court on matters related to child welfare and family law.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake direct work with children and families to gain a deep understanding of their needs and circumstances.
- Represent the views and wishes of children in court proceedings, providing written reports and giving evidence as necessary.
- Advocate for arrangements that are in the best interests of the child, working collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policy, and best practice, applying this knowledge to inform your work and decision-making.
- Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualifying experience in a relevant field, preferably in a family court or child welfare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the service.
