Penrith, Cumbria, United Kingdom North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Job Overview

Receptionist for Urgent Treatment Centre, Emergency Services

We are seeking a proactive Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to become a vital part of our Emergency Care Team, based at the Urgent Treatment Centre. This role is essential in providing support to our clinical personnel.

The ideal candidate will possess strong IT skills and demonstrate exceptional customer service abilities. It is crucial to exhibit sound judgement in high-pressure situations and to show empathy towards our patients. While experience in a healthcare environment is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, along with the capability to collaborate effectively within a team and the independence to work autonomously while maintaining composure under stress.

Availability to participate in a 7-day work schedule is required, with potential for occasional cross-site responsibilities. Shifts will vary.

Currently, we have openings for both a full-time and a part-time position.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a seamless reception service for patients and their families, contributing to the efficient operation of the Urgent Treatment Centre and Scheduled Care Unit. You will assist nursing staff with non-clinical tasks while addressing inquiries from patients, medical professionals, and the public.
