Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Work Arrangement: Fully on-site

We are in search of a skilled and committed Strategic Finance Advisor to join a thriving local enterprise in Redditch. The successful candidate will deliver essential financial insights and support across various departments, enhancing performance and facilitating informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and present comprehensive financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and weekly summaries.
  • Evaluate financial performance, pinpointing trends, risks, and opportunities to foster growth.
  • Establish and uphold a robust framework of internal financial controls.
  • Manage financial contracts and oversee insurance renewals and claims.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial advice and support.
  • Identify potential areas for cost savings and commercial opportunities.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Guide and develop the Junior Accounts Manager, overseeing VAT and payroll functions.
  • Reconcile monthly HMRC and pension contributions.
  • Administer annual payments and manage ad-hoc government reporting.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Possess a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Demonstrate experience and a proven track record in managing finance operations in organizations with revenues exceeding £100 million.
  • Have knowledge or experience in the Construction & Housebuilding sector.
  • Exhibit GDPR competence.
  • Showcase strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and analysis.
  • Be an exceptional problem-solver with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exhibit the capability to oversee departmental workloads and effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
