About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to join our team at Adecco. As a Senior Stock Condition Surveyor, you will play a key role in collecting, assessing, and planning required works to our client's housing and estates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys of council homes and other assets to assess their condition against the Decent Home Standard and Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
  • Undertake audits and spot checks to ensure consistency of assessments and data received from consultants.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Asset Planning Team and its service users, ensuring a comprehensive service is delivered to the highest professional standards.
  • Assess homes against the Decent Home Standard, HHSRS, and council standards and programs, making recommendations on future investment in individual properties.
  • Make recommendations regarding future investment needs to maintain the housing stock in optimum condition, including required improvements.
  • Contribute to decisions on targeted surveys to ensure 100% of housing stock is surveyed within each survey cycle.
  • Contribute to council standards in relation to decent homes, responsive, and planned repairs, including the use of materials and products.
  • Assess and respond to potentially dangerous situations discovered during surveys, liaising with Responsive Repairs staff regarding urgent HHSRS hazards.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of post-Building Surveyor qualification working experience.
  • At least 4 years of proven experience undertaking housing stock condition surveys, including HHSRS surveys.
  • At least 4 years of experience carrying out and assessing, diagnosing, undertaking full measured surveys, and producing detailed surveys and reports on remedial works, including schedule of costings.
  • UK driving license, access to own vehicle, and business insurance cover on your vehicle.
