Role Overview:

We are looking for a Power Platform Engineer to become a part of our Technical Data Services division. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies such as Power Platform, Office 365, and Azure. You will engage with our Digital Solutions practice, concentrating on Content & AI and Process Automation & Integration, assisting Sword's clients in the energy sector as they evolve into data and content-driven enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Interaction: Collaborate directly with clients to grasp their needs, devise innovative solutions, and work with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Solution Architecture and Development: Take charge of both the design and execution of solutions or essential solution components, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Technical Implementation: Cultivate and maintain technical expertise in the latest cloud technologies, achieving and upholding Microsoft certification, with a focus on delivering and sustaining innovative solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside the data engineering and integration teams, as well as other business units, to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Ongoing Development: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in Microsoft technologies and data science principles to continuously improve solution offerings.

Qualifications:

This position is ideal for ambitious technologists eager to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, primarily Microsoft. While we do not expect candidates to possess all the required technical skills listed, it is crucial to have demonstrable experience in key areas and familiarity with Microsoft and Esri tools and components.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Technologies: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder, Power BI).
  • Programming Expertise: Experience with SQL and familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or similar programming languages.
  • Cloud Platform Experience: Experience with Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Additional Tools: Familiarity with SharePoint, ArcGIS, and FME is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Analytical mindset for enhancing information-driven workflows.
  • Proven track record in delivering digital solutions.
  • Understanding of Data Science concepts, particularly in text processing and analytics.
  • Solid knowledge of information and content management.
  • Understanding of data governance processes and best practices.
  • Knowledge of the oil exploration and production sector would be a distinct advantage.
